"Dokumentdatenbanksystem" als ein Netzwerk von Informationen, mit den Dokumenten als Knoten und den Assoziationen bzw. Verweisen als Kanten des Netzwerks (vergl. ->"H.-W. Latz, 'Einsatz von CAD-Graphiken und Hypertext in der technischen Dokumentation' 1990"). Erstmals erwähnt 1965 von Theodor Nelson im Rahmen des Xanadu-Systems als elektronisches Online-Archiv allen Schriftguts. Auch genannt in Bezug zu Vannemar Bushs Memex-System.
